“Keep close to nature’s heart…and break clear away, once in a while,
and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”
John “John of the Mountains” Muir

“May I be filled with loving-kindness. May I be well.
May I be peaceful and at ease, and may I be happy”

The Retreat

I love sharing my “happy places” with my friends, and being on Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, California, is my most favorite place to be. For many years I lived on the mountain, explored many of the trails, spent hours just gazing out at the fog and the ocean, and walked among the giant redwoods. And now I want to share this special place with you.

viewI am offering a one-plus day “mini-retreat” at the Muir Woods Community Center. This wonderful building sits high up on the mountain overlooking the Bay Area with a 360-degree view that includes the Pacific Ocean and the city of San Francisco, all the way to the East Bay, as well as Muir Woods right below you.

Our time together at this retreat will include an opportunity to reflect and renew, time for yourself or time to create new friendships, and the gift of being with like-minded women in a loving, supportive environment. We will sing, share, do group exercises and discussions, have a sacred spring ritual, and laugh a lot! We also get to eat (another favorite thing)! We will have a catered lunch and dinner and a beautiful chanting “concert” on Saturday night.

Nuts & Bolts

For out of town guests

There are luxury accommodations in Mill Valley, Tiburon, Sausalito or San Francisco, or you can find economy places too – the list is below.

Accommodations information

You can fly into San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK) – both airports are about 45-60 minutes from Mill Valley.

It is highly advisable you rent a car for the weekend as there is no easy transportation up and down the mountain. You can find deals for cars through Hotwire, Costco car rental, and Priceline.
