Concerts and Keynotes
The Lighten Up Concert!

I have 2 different types of concerts that I love to do. The first one is my high energy approx. 60 to 90 minute show that combines my inspirational up tempo songs, comedy songs and routines and my most well known chants. Audience participation, fun and lightness are the themes to this show.
Some of the songs may include:
I Lost The Right To Sing The Blues, I've Got the Power, Lighten Up, We Are All Angels, Prosperity Chant, I Am So Blessed, My Religion Is Kindness, and others.
Depending on the budget, my show can be performed with my full band, (keyboard, drums, bass, guitar, and "The Druckettes" - my 2 back-up singers), a trio (keyboard, bass, drums), or I can sing with my CD "tracks".
Testimonials:
"Brilliant, audacious, engaging and incredibly energetic - Karen Drucker is all of this and way, way more! She models being present in every moment of her concerts, and joyfully brings the audience into that presence with her. Her songs touch the heart and are filled with kindness and humor, gentleness and insight - and jump-up-and-dance music that draws upon a rich variety of styles. Bottom line: people have a really, really good time at a Karen Drucker event. "

" I want to reiterate my appreciation of both your performance and more importantly, your presence. You radiate positive uplifting energy that is truly empowering to those who connect to you. Saturday, after your amazing concert, I felt a "high" as if I had been drinking alcohol all night! Since it was a natural high, I didn't even have a "headache" the next morning! "
Debby - Sacramento, CA
"Karen Drucker's concert brought such delight, love, joy and nurturing to all of us. She is a fabulous performer and her original music is accessible to all ages."
Rev. Ruth Kirby - Ashland Church Of Religious Science
"Her music was all original and she had the audience sing and chant along with her for most of it. Some of the women were moved to tears, and the case managers let Karen know how much it meant to have her there and that they use her music every day in their patient classes."

Taize Service
A sacred meditative musical " service" which involves chanting, sacred reading and silence. Music has the ability to bypass the mind and sink into the heart. In this time together we will create a sacred space by spending time chanting, (singing repetitive and affirmative words over and over), being in silence, listening to short sacred inspirational readings, stating our prayers or intentions at a sacred altar, and just allowing ourselves to "be". The stage or room is surrounded with candles, and the participants walk into the room in silence, feeling the sacred tone that has already been set, and leave at the end in silence.
4 separate themes are used for each of the segments. We have sung, spoken and meditated on the themes of health and well-being, self-esteem, sacred service, faith, and love. Come with an open heart and a willingness to receive.
A Taize serve is usually about one hour.
Some of the songs may include:
The Face of God, Your Prayer Is My Prayer Too, Blessing To The World, Holy Holy Holy, Loving Kindness, I Am So Blessed, Chants from other faiths
Depending on the budget, this service can be performed with a keyboard, bass, guitar, tabla player and back-up singers, or as simple as me playing keyboard and singing.
Testimonials:
"The candles, the silence, the singing, allowed my heart to open and to feel Spirit in a way that words cannot describe. Thank you for creating such a sacred space."
Don - Denver
" The experience of closing my eyes and hearing everyone singing around me brought me to such a deep peace. I walked into the room feeling stressed, and walked out with a sense of calm and renewed faith".
Debbie - Kansas City

Musical KeyNote Talks
My talks are a combination of speaking, singing, inspiration, giggling, audience participation, heart opening, and fun.
Talk titles include:
Tarzan Yells and Sweaty Palms
I was 13 years old, a geeky teenager trying to find my way, and trying desperately to fit in. I sat in the audience of the Carol Burnett show and when she asked for the house lights to come up and see if anyone had any questions, suddenly, out of nowhere, my heart started racing, my palms got sweaty, and I knew what I had to do. My hand shot up, she called on me. It was my moment to challenge her to a Tarzan calling contest!
How many times in our lives does that moment come where we are being "called" to something that will stretch us, improve us, challenge us? Using songs, and personal stories, we investigate together how we can go for our dreams in a way that is gentle and yet gets us to our goal. I will give a step by step method to determine where you want to go and the steps to get you there.
Taming My Inner Critic
We all have one, you know, that VOICE.... that says we're not good enough, smart enough, thin enough... the voice that keeps us from knowing our own self worth and divinity. So how do we quiet that voice when it is raging on inside?
Studies have shown we have over 60 thousand thoughts every day.... so how many are positive and life affirming? In this talk we will look at how we can "tame" it with positive affirmations and self talk that will greatly diminish it's powers.
Combining stories and song, I will help you to identify that voice, be specific about what it is saying, and give fun techniques to "tame "it.
My Religion Is Kindness
The Christian Mystic, Meister Eckart says "If the only prayer you say in your life is "thank-you" that would be enough. Gratitude is a spiritual practice that we all can learn to "practice" everyday. Using stories, songs, chants, and beautiful quotes about loving kindness, I will talk about the benefits and joys of living in a state of gratitude and also finding ways to appreciate especially when you are not feeling it! It is my intention that people leave this talk feeling uplifted, grateful and have tools to bring them back in touch when they forget.
