I Give Myself Permission To…

(A workshop for creativity, connection, community and commitment.)

With Karen Drucker

Many years ago I wrote a chant that said:

“I give myself permission to be all I can be.
I give myself permission to live passionate and free.”

That word “permission” holds a lot of weight. I have asked myself the question: Are there places in my life that I would like to give myself permission to do what I want, have the things I desire, or be the person I want to be?  And am I waiting for someone or something outside of me to give me permission to do it?

In this 6-week play-shop we will look at that word as it relates to our daily lives, our relationships, and our dreams. With songs, stories, small group discussions, exercises, and lots of laughter, we will learn how to give ourselves permission to be, do and have all that we desire, and to rejuvenate our body, mind, and spirit.

          Topics include:

I give myself permission to be present.
I give myself permission to rest.
I give myself permission to be creative.
I give myself permission to feel.
I give myself permission to tame my inner critic.
I give myself permission to practice radical self-care.
I give myself permission to play.

This play-shop is for you if you want to:

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A KAREN DRUCKER EVENT

I believe in creating community and connection between women, and I have experienced this even at online retreats. We do that in a way that is heart opening and fun by utilizing lots of singing

(No – you don’t have to be a good singer, or know any of my songs!), group exercises, and discussions (we will break into small groups in “Zoom Rooms”), and lots of shared wisdom and laughter. There are times when tears are appropriate, and we support each other lovingly through those times. Being in a group of like-minded women, even online, and sharing our lives allows us to open our hearts and connect to each other and ourselves in a deeper way.

“I Give Myself Permission To…” will lead us on a path of self-discovery, looking at what are our hearts are calling us towards, what we need to let go of, and what we want to step into.

No matter if you have been to a Karen Drucker play-shop or retreat before – each one is different based on who shows up and what is happening with ourselves and in the world.
